4.5.11 New Burial Ground Allocations, Policy CFS/14 NEW BURIAL GROUND ALLOCATIONS
Rep No Name
People Type
17782 Miss Roxanne Rebecca Taylor [1560]
1 Object
Summary There has been a long-standing need for new grounds for burials within the town and existing provision is close to capacity. The evidence base identifies
preliminary reports have been undertaken to identify potential sites for the town.
Change Sought:
The Council does not support Policy CFS/14 in its current form. It is not sufficiently robust to ensure delivery of a burial ground within the town - the need for
which is recognised as a prime importance.
Policy CFS/14 should be amended to explicitly state that the Council will allocate land at Abergele for a cemetery as a spatial priority to meet community
needs. The proposals map should be amended to identify those sites being investigated in order for public comment and consultation.
14477 Cyngor Tref Bodelwyddan Town Council (Ms Jenny Prendergast) [4455]
1 Object
Summary Bodelwyddan Town council passed a resolution at its meeting on 21st April 2011 to support the objections to the LDP raised by Abergele Town Council.
Bodelwyddan Town Council are also conerned that the LDP for Conwy and LDP for Denbighshire both cite large scale building of houses and industrial units
within a small distance of each other.
If both these plans were to meet approval there will be a substantial strain on the infrastructure servicing both communities, the education and health services
would be put under a considerable amount of pressure.
Change Sought: The proposals map should be amended to identify those sites being investigated in order for public comment and consultation.
