The Assembly will wish to be consulted on any proposal which affects Abergele roundabout in order to ensure a satisfactory layout is achieved especially in
relation to the A55 westbound off slip road. This may affect the alignment of the proposed route and hence the area which requires protecting.

Summary I write in support of the Local Development Plan proposals for Abergele.
I support the construction of a by pass road and the construction of additional houses to the west of the town. I judge we need such development to ensure
the economic viability of the town and to ensure younger people are encouraged to remain and live and work in North Wales.
I am also very relaxed about the construction of a Gypsy Traveller site. I judge that the Council should consult with the Gypsy Traveller community in North
Wales to ensure the site is co-created with the residents of Abergele to ensure high quality design and construction to meet Gypsy and Traveller's needs.

Summary A number of routes contained within the Regional Transport Plan (RTP) are safeguarded within the LDP. To date no routes have been safeguarded within
Denbighshire as the RTP has not yet been adopted. It is considered that safeguarding routes could potentially cause planning blight. It is unclear whether the

Summary I am happy with the overall coverage that the Plan gives to sustainable transport, but I do not believe that the plan is detailed enough in what it proposes for
walking & cycling. The majority of projects that it details are already in the programme and should be complete within the next 5 years, whereas the plan runs
until 2022.
Walking & Cycling networks should be proposed for all major towns in the county with all new developments contributing to walking & cycling links in the
vicinity of the new development.
