Summary While generally supporting the Spatial Strategy for Minor Villages and Hamlet My wife and I would like to make the following comments regarding Llanelian yn
Rhos
Any development of Village/Hamet should be restricted for the reasons detailed within the full text. However there seems a conflict as to whether Llanelian yn
Rhos is a Minor Village or Hamlet as under The Spatial Stategy Item 3.33 it is designated as a Minor Village and under Spatial Policies, Key Diagrams and
Supporting Development Control Policies Item 4.40 Table 4 HOU1a and Item 4.55 Table 6 HOU2b it is designated as a Hamlet.
Summary There will be heavy usage of single track road to Llanelian Village from Old Colwyn. The road cannot take a large volume of traffic. There will be extra
pressure on places in schools, doctors' surgeries and council facilities. There is no village shop or public transport.
Change Sought: The village of Llanelian should be retained as a country village with its rural ethos.
