SPATIAL POLICIES, KEY DIAGRAMS AND SUPPORTING DEVELOPMENT CONTROL POLICIES
Policy NTE/7 Sustainable Drainage Systems
Rep No Name
People Type
52 Ryan Bowen (Mr Ryan Bowen) [110]
1 Support
Summary We fully support this Policy and would expect the developer to assess sustainable options as part of the development. Flooding is an emotive issue and any
measures which can reduce the amount of surface water run-off can only be seen as a positive action.
1008 Environment Agency Wales (Mrs Deborah Hemsworth) [1036]
Summary NTE/6 & NTE7
We would suggest that these two policies are combined as NTE/7 appears to be repeating NTE/6.
Change Sought: NTE/6 & NTE7
We would suggest that these two policies are combined as NTE/7 appears to be repeating NTE/6.
1814 Redrow (Mr Robin Buckley) [1996]
Summary Redrow object to Policy NTE/7 - Sustainable Drainage Systems for the following reason:-
1.A major problem Developers face with SUDS is the attitude of water companies to the adoption of sewers discharging to such features (e.g. balancing
ponds) where they will be maintained by a management company or nature conservation body rather than a public body. Therefore
Change Sought: The Policy should be amended by adding the words "and where satisfactory arrangements can be put in place for the long term maintenance of those
systems" after "reasonably practical".
