A. During roofing work, exposed surfaces of finished walls shall be protected with
tarps in order to prevent damage. Contractor shall assume full responsibility for
any damage.

2.2 MATERIALS
A. Asphalt:
1. Asphalt shall be certified in full compliance with the requirements of Type
Type IV asphalt listed in Table 1, ASTM D-312-71. Each container, or bulk,
shipping ticket shall indicate the equiviscous temperature (EVT), the finished
blowing temperature (FBT), and the flash point.
B. Base Sheet:
1. Sopra-G as manufactured by Soprema or from one of equal manufacturers.
C. .Insulation:
1. Insulation shall be a rigid polyisocyanurate board with facing material
acceptable to the membrane manufacturer for the system specified.
2. Tapered insulation is required at various locations – see roof plan for locations.
3. Insulation adhesive: provide equal to “Olybond Classic” as manufactured by
OMG Roofing Products, Inc.
D. Recovery Board:
1. Recovery board to be 1/2 inch thick (unless otherwise noted). Layer to be hot
asphalt applied or attached with insulation adhesive, depending on
manufacturer.
2. Provide products from one of the following:
