1.3 QUALITY ASSURANCE
A. General: Comply with requirements of the following standards unless otherwise
indicated.
1. WDMA I.S.1-A-11, "Architectural Wood Flush Doors."
B. Allowable Tolerances for Fabrication:
1. Size, overall dimensions - 1/16"
2. Maximum warp and diagonal squareness - 1/8"
1.4 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING
A. Protect wood doors during transit, storage and handling to prevent damage, soiling
and deterioration. Comply with the "On-site Care" recommendations of NWMA
pamphlet "Care and Finishing of Wood Doors" and with manufacturer's
instructions.
B. Deliver doors to site ONLY after building has reached average prevailing humidity
of this area. Refer to Project Conditions as specified herein.
C. Store doors in area where no excessive variations of heat, dryness or humidity are
to be encountered.
1.5 PROJECT/SITE CONDITIONS
1.6 WARRANTY
A. Environmental Limitations: Do not deliver or install doors until spaces are
enclosed and weather tight, wet work in spaces is complete and dry, and HVAC
system is operating and maintaining temperature between 60 and 90 deg F and
relative humidity between 25 and 55 percent during remainder of construction
period.
A. Special Warranty: Manufacturer agrees to repair or replace doors that fail in
materials or workmanship within specified warranty period.
1. Failures include, but are not limited to, the following:
a. Warping (bow, cup, or twist) more than 1/4 inch in a 42-by-84-inch
section.
