C. Concrete Stain:
1. Provide “Concrete Stain Solid Color Water-based” as manufactured by H & C
Concrete.

d. Volume Solids: 30 ± 2%
e. Weight Solids: 43 ± 2%
2. Color: to be selected from manufacturer’s full line, including tintable colors.
PART 3 – EXECUTION
3.1 PREPARATION
A. Newly poured concrete must be at least 28 days old. All concrete must be porous,
clean, dry and free of grease, oil & any other contaminates.
1. If areas require cleaning, use cleaner/degreaser following manufacturer’s
directions. If mold, mildew or fungus is present, kill and remove with a solution
of one-cup household bleach to one gallon of water.
B. All horizontal concrete surfaces MUST be etched with etching solution, following
manufacturer’s directions. After etching the surface should have the feel of 120-grit
sandpaper.
