2.2 DOOR CONSTRUCTION, GENERAL
A. Low-Emitting Materials: Provide doors made with adhesives and composite wood
products that do not contain urea formaldehyde.
B. WDMA I.S.1-A-11 Performance Grade: Extra heavy duty.
1. All doors must meet specified WDMA Performance Duty Level, including face
screw holding requirement. Surface applied hardware shall be installed with
screws; through bolts are not acceptable.
C. Particleboard-Core Doors:
1. Particleboard: ANSI A208.1, Grade LD-2 only, made with binder containing
no urea-formaldehyde resin.
2. Provide doors with structural-composite-lumber cores instead of particleboard
cores for doors indicated to receive exit devices and other screw applied
hardware.
2.3 INTERIOR SOLID CORE DOORS
A. Grade: Custom, with Grade A faces.
B. Species: Select White Birch
C. Cut: plain sliced
D. Match between Veneer Leaves: Book match.
E. Assembly of Veneer Leaves on Door Faces: running match.
