SMIQEnhanced Functions For Digital Standard 3GPP W-CDMA (FDD)2.15.3.1.2 Channel CodingMany tests can be found in [1] and [3] all of which require channel-coded measurement channels, socalledReference Measurement Channels. Types 12.2 kbps, 64 kbps, 144 kbps and 384 kbps areindicated for each link direction. In addition, the SMIQ can simulate an AMR voice channel according to [5]. The detailed structure ofthese channels is described in the following documents:Table 2-27References to measurement channelsCODING TYPE Reference downlink Reference uplinkMEASURE__12.2 [1], A.3.1 [3], A.2 and [4], A.2MEASURE__64 [1], A.3.2 [3], A.3 and [4], A.3MEASURE_144 [1], A.3.3 [3], A.4 and [4], A.4MEASURE_384 [1], A.3.5 [3], A.5 and [4], A.5AMR_CODER [5], 4.1.1.3.1.2 [5], 4.1.2.2.1.2To simplify the implementation of channel decoding in the test receiver the two interleaver stages in themeasurement channels can separately be switched on and off.----------------------Channel Coding-----------------------------------------------------------------------------CHANNEL CODINGSTAT<strong>ES</strong>witch for activating or deactivating the channel coding of all enhancedchannels. In the OFF state, the following menu parameters are not effective:CODING TYPE,INTERLEAVER 1,INTERLEAVER 2,CODING (enhanced channel specific).IEC/IEEE-bus command :SOUR:W3GP:BST:ENH:CCOD ONCODING TYPE Setting the channel coding type of all enhanced channels. The 3GPP specification currently stipulates 4 predefined MEASUREMENTchannel coding types which differ in the input data bit rate to be processed(12.2, 64, 144 and 384 KBPS). The additional AMR_CODER coding schemegenerates the coding of a speech channel. For channel coding, the input data bits are taken from the data sourcespecified in menu parameter DATA. The bits with a higher data rate areavailable at the output of channel coding. There are fixed assignmentsbetween the measurement input data bit rate and the output symbol rate, i.e.the menu parameters SYMBOL RATE DPCH (Downlink) or OVERALLSYMBOL RATE are adapted automatically.MEASURE_12.2Measurement channel 12.2 kbpsMEASURE_64Measurement channel 64 kbpsMEASURE_144Measurement channel 144 kbpsMEASURE_384Measurement channel 384 kbpsAMR_CODERChannel coding for AMR CoderIEC/IEEE-bus command :SOUR:W3GP:BST:ENH:CCOD:TYP M12KINTERLEAVER 1,2 Switch for separately activating or deactivating channel coding interleaver stages 1and 2 of all enhanced channels.
