origen comprimido sobre la cápsula. Los neurofibromas,
por el contrario, aparecen como masas fusiformes, no
encapsuladas.
Los tumores malignos casi siempre se originan por
transformación sarcomatosa de un neurofibroma previo.
Pueden ser globulosos o fusiformes, bien circunscritos,
con una seudocápsula fibrosa, el nervio ciático es el más
interesado. En la ecografía los bordes pueden ser mal definidos
y estar adheridos a los tejidos vecinos. Se recomienda
la biopsia que suele ser muy dolorosa.
