El DC juega un papel importante en todos estos pacientes.<br />
CUERPOS EXTRAÑOS EN LAS PARTES BLANDAS<br />
Las radiografías convencionales solo pueden detectar<br />
los cuerpos extraños radiopacos, no así la ecografía que<br />
permite ver también los cuerpos extraños radiotransparentes.<br />
Los pedazos de madera, aparecen inicialmente hipoecoicos<br />
y al final pueden desaparecer.<br />
Los cuerpos extraños plásticos son menos<br />
ecogénicos que la madera. Por su parte el vidrio y el<br />
metal producen fuertes artefactos de reverberancia (cola<br />
de cometa).<br />
Hay una serie de signos secundarios asociados a los<br />
cuerpos extraños como son: presencia de aire, hematoma,<br />
pus, etc, todos identificables con la ecografía.<br />
El engrosamiento difuso <strong>del</strong> TCS y de las PB muestra<br />
un patrón reticulado, anecoico y desorganizado, producido<br />
por la distensión de los linfáticos. Los abscesos, complicación<br />
frecuente, varían desde una colección libre<br />
anecoica, hasta una lesión heterogénea compleja, con deshechos<br />
internos y tabicaciones. En el Doppler color hay<br />
aumento <strong>del</strong> flujo, predominantemente periférico.<br />
