c) Volume occupied by reinforcement, water pipes, conduits upto
25 sq.cm. shall not be deducted.
d) Pilasters, buttresses, plinth, courses and similar projects beyond
the general surfaces shall be measured and included with the
wall.
e) Length of roof beams shall be measured from face to face of
columns and shall include haunches if any between the columns
and beams. The depth of beams shall be measured form the
bottom of the slab to the bottom of the slab to the bottom of the
beam taking the floor or roof slab as running continuously
over/below the beam.
f) Columns shall be measured from the top of the column base to
the top of the first floor slab and subsequently from top of floor
slab to top of subsequent floor or roof slab above as the case
may be. Measurement of chajjas shall be exclusive of bearing,
where the chajja is combined with lintel, slab etc. the common
portion shall be measured under respective item with which it is
combined.
5.30.5 The rates generally include for
a) All removing by head or wheeling, hoisting, lowering,
transporting required in order to convey concrete of any
description, from the place of mixing to the actual place of
incorporation in work.
b) Keeping concrete well wetted for 28 days or as directed by
Engineer, after depositing and necessary protection.
