11.4.3 Geosynthetics :<br />

Where Geosynthetics are specified in the contract this shall be in<br />

accordance with the requirements stated in Clause 703 of M.O.R.T. &<br />

H. Specifications (Fourth Revision).<br />

11.4.4 Stress absorbing layer :<br />

Where a stress absorbing layer is specified in the contract, this shall be<br />

applied in accordance with the requirements of Clause 522 of<br />

M.O.R.T. & H. Specifications (Fourth Revision).<br />

Where specified in the contract, or otherwise required by the Engineer,<br />

tack coat shall be applied in accordance with the requirements of<br />

Clause 503 of M.O.R.T. & H. Specifications (Fourth Revision).<br />

The provisions as specified in Clauses 501.3 and 501.4 of M.O.R.T. &<br />

H. Specifications (Fourth Revision) shall apply.<br />

The general provisions of clauses 501.6 and 501.7 of M.O.R.T. & H.<br />

Specifications (Fourth Revision) shall apply, as modified by the approved<br />

laying trials.<br />

11.5 OPENING OF TRAFFIC :<br />

The newly laid surface shall not be open to traffic for at least 24 hours<br />

after laying and the completion of compaction, without the express<br />

approval of the Engineer in writing.
