1.15.7 Admixtures :<br />

a) Admixture may be permitted to be used in concrete <strong>works</strong> subject<br />

to satisfactory proven use only after a written permission from<br />

the Engineer is obtained.<br />

b) Admixture, if allowed to be used shall be such that they do not<br />

adversely affect the properties of concrete and have deleterious<br />

effect on steel reinforcement.<br />

c) Admixture shall conform to IS 6925 and 9103 of latest revisions.<br />

d) The use of such admixture shall be strictly in accordance with the<br />

manufacture’s instructions.<br />

e) The minimum cement quantity specified not be reduced on<br />

Any other material, used in the work and not covered in the above<br />

<strong>specifications</strong>, shall conform to the relevant MORT&H specification. The<br />

Engineer shall have the right to reject all or any of the materials offered<br />

or delivered for use in the <strong>works</strong>, if found not suitable for the purpose.<br />

1.16 EXECUTION OF WORKS:<br />

All items shall conform to the requirement laid down in M.O.R.T.H.<br />

specification and stipulations made herein. In case any item of work is<br />

not covered by these specification/stipulations the <strong>works</strong> shall be<br />

executed as per the latest editions of IRC or IS codes of practice.<br />

1. As the scope of work is the extension of bridge to the existing<br />

bridge structure. Utmost care shall be taken while execution<br />

without disturbing/damaging the existing structure. The<br />

contractor is wholly responsible for any damage/destruction to<br />

existing structure or foundation thereof.
