1.23 MATERIALS TESTING
The physical properties and engineering characteristics of the materials
mentioned in these specifications shall be established through
appropriate tests on representative sample collected in such manner
and at such frequency as decided by the Engineer. The tests shall be
carried out in accordance with test method as mentioned in these
specifications after taking into account the appropriateness of the test
methods for particulars applications under consideration.
1.24 QUALITY CONTROL ON WORK AND MATERIAL
The Contractor shall be responsible for quality of work in entire
construction work within the contract. Quality control shall be done as
per Clause 900 of Ministry of Road Transport and Highway (Road
Wings) specification for Road and Bridge work, 4 th revision. The
contract rate quoted for various items of work in the bill of quantities
shall be deemed to be inclusive of all costs of the provision indicated in
that clause.
1.25 SURVEYING AND MEASURING EQUIPMENTS
Equipments for surveying and measurement on the works shall be
procured by the Contractor for his use. The same shall also be made
available to the Engineer at site for any work connected with the
contract without any additional charges.
2.0 EXCAVATION
Work shall be carried out to Indian Standards and Code of Practices. In
absence International Standards shall be followed. These shall be latest
issue. List given hereunder is not to be considered as conclusive and is
