1.23 MATERIALS TESTING<br />

The physical properties and engineering characteristics of the materials<br />

mentioned in these <strong>specifications</strong> shall be established through<br />

appropriate tests on representative sample collected in such manner<br />

and at such frequency as decided by the Engineer. The tests shall be<br />

carried out in accordance with test method as mentioned in these<br />

<strong>specifications</strong> after taking into account the appropriateness of the test<br />

methods for <strong>particular</strong>s applications under consideration.<br />

1.24 QUALITY CONTROL ON WORK AND MATERIAL<br />

The Contractor shall be responsible for quality of work in entire<br />

construction work within the contract. Quality control shall be done as<br />

per Clause 900 of Ministry of Road Transport and Highway (Road<br />

Wings) specification for Road and Bridge work, 4 th revision. The<br />

contract rate quoted for various items of work in the bill of quantities<br />

shall be deemed to be inclusive of all costs of the provision indicated in<br />

that clause.<br />

1.25 SURVEYING AND MEASURING EQUIPMENTS<br />

Equipments for surveying and measurement on the <strong>works</strong> shall be<br />

procured by the Contractor for his use. The same shall also be made<br />

available to the Engineer at site for any work connected with the<br />

contract without any additional charges.<br />

2.0 EXCAVATION<br />

Work shall be carried out to Indian Standards and Code of Practices. In<br />

absence International Standards shall be followed. These shall be latest<br />

issue. List given hereunder is not to be considered as conclusive and is<br />

for reference and guidance only. Any discrepancies / conflict noticed
