1.11 SITE CLEARANCE :
This shall consists of removing and disposing off all materials such as
trees, bushes, shrubs, rubbish, etc. which in the opinion of the Engineer
are unsuitable for incorporation in the works from within the highway
limit and such another areas as may be specified on the drawing or by
the Engineer., the requirements of the specifications at the time of their
use in works.
1.12 TESTING :
Testing shall be carried out in a field laboratory set up by the
Contractor and cross checking will be done in CIDCO Laboratory or
any recognized laboratory at the Contractor’s cost.
1.13 DEFECTIVE MATERIALS :
All materials, which the Engineer has determined as not conforming to
the requirements of the contract will be rejected, whether in place or
not. They shall be removed by the Contractor at his own cost
immediately as directed. Materials, which have been found defective
and which have been subsequently rectified or corrected shall not be
used in the work without the consent of the Engineer in writing. Upon
failure of the Contractor to comply promptly with any order of the
Engineer or his representative, given under this clause, the Engineer
shall have the authority to have rejected material removed and deduct
the cost of removal from any money due to the contractor.
1.14 TESTING OF MATERIAL NOT COVERED UNDER SPECIFICATIONS:
In case the materials/finished products are not covered by the
specifications in the contract, the details of specification to be followed
