Viceversa, se Y ∪Z ⊆ X, allora siccome Y ⊆ Y ∪Z si ha, per la trans<strong>it</strong>iv<strong>it</strong>à<br />
<strong>di</strong> ⊆ — ve<strong>di</strong> oltre — che Y ⊆ X e analogamente Z ⊆ X, cioè “mele o pere<br />

Le operazioni <strong>in</strong>siemistiche corrispondono ai connettivi: l’appartenenza al<br />
complemento è def<strong>in</strong><strong>it</strong>a me<strong>di</strong>ante la negazione, l’appartenenza all’<strong>in</strong>tersezione<br />
me<strong>di</strong>ante la congiunzione, e così via.<br />
Viceversa, ai connettivi proposizionali corrispondono le operazioni <strong>in</strong>siemistiche<br />
