In nondialogue writing, ending a sentence in an ellipsis rather than
a period adds a certain ineffable weight to it.
The effect can be to underscore a point that need not be stated
explicitly,
"I don't care what you do with your whiskers; I don't care what
anybody does with his whiskers," said the King, still soothing his own
tenderly; "I want the King of Euralia's blood." He looked round the
Court. "To anyone who will bring me the head of the King, I will give
