The next step was to design and implement the new care plan aimed at enhancing<br />

resident autonomy.<br />

6.4 Step 3: Action taking: Selecting a course <strong>of</strong> action<br />

For step 3 the newly designed care plan was implemented. Firstly I drew up a<br />

Gantt chart template, we then collectively agreed our timelines and put them into<br />

the Gantt (Appendix 22). I also designed action plan templates (Appendix 23)<br />

which we completed together and which we used for focusing ourselves on each<br />

step <strong>of</strong> the implementation. Coghlan and McAuliffe (2003) explain that the most
