The next step was to design and implement the new care plan aimed at enhancing
resident autonomy.
6.4 Step 3: Action taking: Selecting a course of action
For step 3 the newly designed care plan was implemented. Firstly I drew up a
Gantt chart template, we then collectively agreed our timelines and put them into
the Gantt (Appendix 22). I also designed action plan templates (Appendix 23)
which we completed together and which we used for focusing ourselves on each
step of the implementation. Coghlan and McAuliffe (2003) explain that the most
