TECHNICAL NOTES<br />
The Statistical Annex comprises 25 tables covering such<br />
broad statistical categories as demography, households,<br />
housing, housing infrastructure, ec<strong>on</strong>omic and social indicators.<br />
Taking into account the theme of the <strong>2007</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>Global</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>Report</str<strong>on</strong>g>, this Statistical Annex highlights as much as possible<br />
safety and security issues. The Annex is divided into three<br />
secti<strong>on</strong>s presenting data at the regi<strong>on</strong>al, country and city<br />
levels. Tables A.1 to A.5 present regi<strong>on</strong>al-level data grouped<br />
by selected criteria of ec<strong>on</strong>omic and development achievements,<br />
as well as geographic distributi<strong>on</strong>. Tables B.1 to B.13<br />
c<strong>on</strong>tain country-level data and Tables C.1 to C.7 are devoted<br />
to city-level data. Data have been compiled from various<br />
internati<strong>on</strong>al sources, from nati<strong>on</strong>al statistical offices and<br />
from the United Nati<strong>on</strong>s.<br />
