Any of the six columns can besorted on.Database Backup and RestoreAs with any software program, you should protect your investment by backingup your hard disk to another hard disk on a network, a tape drive or floppydisk.125All Travel$ense files arestored in a singledirectory, making itsimple to back up theentire program.Furthermore all trips andalmost all profiles arestored in a singledatabase file. Only theairlines and airportprofiles, andcommunications settingsare not included in thisbackup.All of the trip data andyour profiles are storedin a single database filecalled trav3$.mdb.To protect your investment, back up this file regularly. It is small enough to fiton a single diskette until you have accumulated approximately 130 trips.To back up this file, click on Backup or Restore Database in the File menu.Do not rely on your IS department to back up this file via the network. A singlefloppy disk can protect months of flight department data, particularly if youmake use of a data compression program such as PKZIP. Approximately 5 MBof data can be compressed to fit on a single floppy.You can move a database between installations of Travel$ense by using backupon the source machine to a floppy drive (if your database fits) and then restorefrom the floppy on the destination.
