188TRAVEL$ENSEAfter converting to Release 3, do not reopen old trips. Any Release 1 trips withmultiple missions (different passengers on different legs) will not analyzeproperly in Release 3. Release 3 handles multiple-mission trips in asophisticated manner, but cannot apply that level of analysis to trips taken in thepast because historical airline data is not available. The saved, albeit limited,Release 1 analysis, accessible only through Summary Reports, offers the bestdata available for trips already taken.WHAT ARE THE PROGRAM’S LIMITATIONS?Travel$ense Release 2 removed many size limits from Release 1. The limitslisted below have not been found to have a significant effect on users and thusremain largely unchanged from Release 2. They could be increased if usersindicate a need to do so.Legs per TripTravel$ense is limited to 12 legs per trip. Refueling stops do not count as legswithin Travel$ense and automatically areincluded within a single leg whenimporting trips from flight department software, for example.PassengersTravel$ense is limited to 19 passengers on any leg and 50 overall on the entiretrip.Airline TripsTravel$ense is limited to 10 different comparable airline trips for a singlecorporate trip. This means that no more than 10 different groups of passengersdoing the same thing can exist. Furthermore, there is an upper limit as to howmany total legs all airline trips contain. The total of business aircraft legs (one tothree aircraft times number of trip legs) and airline legs cannot exceed 55. Forexample, an eight-leg trip with two business aircraft would allow 39 total airlinelegs (55 - 8 - 8).MeetingsTravel$ense is limited to 55 different meetings within the up to 10 differentgroups of passengers traveling together (i.e., a unique airline trip).Cascading OvernightsOne practical result of attempting a comparison of business aircraft and airlineaircraft is the realization that airline schedules for some city pairs requireequivalent multi-meeting schedules to change dynamically. In Travel$ense, thefirst time-on-site (for the first meeting of a trip) is matched as closely aspossible to the business aircraft schedule.
