TRAVEL$ENSEownership, charter aircraft, helicopters or automobiles, in your analysis. It alsoremoves clutter from trips where only a single aircraft is relevant. Prior releasesrequired two aircraft, providing two columns of identical business aircraftresults when only one aircraft was being considered. In addition, the business aircraft schedule now can be displayed for eachaircraft, although it only can be edited for the first aircraft from which theothers are scheduled. The second and third aircraft now use scheduling similarto the airline (new in Release 3). Trip times and dates will be adjusted to ensurethat the aircraft achieves the required site time. A substantially slower aircraftmay on some trips even require additional days of travel with appropriateexpenses being automatically invoked by Travel$ense.AFTER-HOURS SITE TIME SUPPORTEDNew in Release 3 is the ability to have Travel$ense schedule trips with meetingsat any time, regardless of business hours. Meetings will be automaticallyscheduled based on site arrival times, subject to any editing you may do toprovide for arriving before or leaving after a meeting is concluded. Travel$ensewill then ensure that this “after-hours” meeting time is scheduled for whencreating comparable airline trips. While non-business hours site time has noeffect on travel time nor is it counted as site time, it is important in correctlyscheduling comparable airline travel, particularly for long-distance internationaltrips. For more information, see Review Meetings Created by Travel$ense on page78.24-HOUR CLOCK SUPPORTEDRelease 3 can specify a 24-hour time format for all inputs and displays withinTravel$ense. Previous versions used only a 12-hour time format (a.m./p.m.). Thissetting is independent of the Time format set via the Control Panel of youroperating system, which does not affect displays in Travel$ense. All displays andprinted reports will use the format selected. All input fields will be affectedsimilarly. For 24-hour time, the a.m./p.m. input area will not appear and you willbe able to type hours from 0 to 23, for example. For more information see Time Default Settings on page 31.11Copyright © 1999, National Business Aviation Association, Inc.
