78TRAVEL$ENSEthe leg (this can be altered on the Defaults screen, Times tab). Aircraft costquotes (the Cost of Air Services) are calculated based upon flight time only, notincluding taxi times, and are times from takeoff to touchdown, or squat-switchto squat-switch. In addition, one third of any refueling time is deducted fromthe enroute time in calculating hourly-based aircraft costs.REFUEL TIMERefuel times, if invoked, also are shown on this pop-up screen and included inthe total ETE. These are stored, by aircraft, in the aircraft performance profileand invoked based on the distances between the city pairs. Users can set anyrefuel time they wish by typing a new time, using the up/down arrows in thefield or the up/down buttons. Multiple refuel times are set based on the totaltime (e.g. 60 minutes for two if 30 minutes is set for one). Travel$ense uses acruise-to-cruise time to simplify scheduling and thus does not track therefueling airport and exact time of refueling (business hours impact on traveltime cost). In calculating productivity, refuel time is treated as entirelyunproductive, added to leg dead time and subtracted equally from the beginningand end of the leg.Edit Cost of Air ServiceThe cost of each of up to threebusiness aircraft selected for a trip iscalculated according to the costmethod assigned to that aircraft (eightdifferent possibilities) on the aircraftprofiles aircraft screen. Trips importedfrom flight department software usethe trip cost specified in that softwareas an override to any Travel$ensecalculated value. You can override thiscost with any number at any time viathis screen.Review Meetings Created by Travel$enseNEW T$3FEATUREThe Edit Meetings screen is the only place in Travel$ense you can review andchange the site time scheduling that ultimately defines the comparable airlinetrips that are automatically created. The first time a trip is completed (all legsdefined, passengers on at least one leg), Travel$ense automatically createsmeetings based on that schedule and displays them on the lower table of theDefine Trip tab.Copyright © 1999, National Business Aviation Association, Inc.
