causes the individuals to show immaturity and to perceive inaccurately in interpreting
peer’s social cues and be tricked by it in their social interactions. Besides, they have
trouble controlling their emotion and behaviour in an appropriate way. For practical
domains, the individuals are capable of handling their personal care and have
sufficient recreation skills but in need of support to handle complex daily living tasks
such as transportation, shopping, banking and money management and the proper life
decisions such as legal and health care decisions. They are able to work that does not
emphasise on conceptual skills after they learnt the vocational skill.
Next, the moderate severity level for intellectual disability has a lower IQ score
than mild severity level andlocated between 35-49 IQ scores. For the conceptual
domain, the individuals have problems and are lagging behind peers in learning
conceptual skills. Students with moderate intellectual disability have slow progress in
learning language and academic skills and lead their adult self with the elementary
level of academic skills. Thus, they need assistance with activities that require
academic skills and others are caring responsible for them. For social domains, the
social skills become significantly different from peers. Even though they use plain
words in their communication, they are still able to maintain serious relationship ties
with their close-ones. But, they require assistance from others as they cannot perceive
social cues accurately which affects their social judgement and ability to make
decisions. For practical domain, individuals need considerable support throughout
most activities including to handle their legal decisions across their life. With the
extended time, teaching and opportunities given, they are able to be independent for
their personal care and some of their recreational skills. They are still able to work
which requires limited conceptual and communication skills with support from
colleagues. In this severity level, some individuals even have maladaptive behaviour
that harms society.
Then, having the IQ score in between 20-34 is the severe severity level of
intellectual disability. For the conceptual domain, the individuals need extensive
assistance to solve problems due to their limited conceptual ability and understanding,
and the lack of academic skills. For social domain, the individuals are able to acquire
