furniture construction and techniques <strong>of</strong> shop drawing.<br />

AA 425, 426. Custom Cabinet and Furniture Design. 4 hours each term.<br />

First term: projects involving the design <strong>of</strong> custom furniture, preparation <strong>of</strong><br />

detailed shop drawings, shop procedure; second term: construction <strong>of</strong> furniture<br />

designed during first term. Prerequisite: AA 424. Open to nonmajors<br />

AA 449. Workroom Procedure in Interior Design. I hour.<br />

Technical study <strong>of</strong> old and new materials; design and installation; drawings<br />

Preparation <strong>of</strong> working drawings, specifications, and estimates for materials<br />

A series <strong>of</strong> advanced creative design problems in interior architecture intended<br />

to develop the analytical approach; emphasis on integration with<br />

Pr<strong>of</strong>essional interior design problems <strong>of</strong> increasing complexity for one-half<br />

<strong>of</strong> the year, involving collaborative problems, field trips, and reviews. A<br />

terminal design project executed as a final half-year problem under the direction<br />

<strong>of</strong> a thesis committee. Prerequisite: IS term hours in AA 488. Frasier,<br />

Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning<br />

THE CURRICULUM IN LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE, leading to the<br />

degree <strong>of</strong> Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Landscape Architecture, is a five-year program. The following<br />
