'Program Specialties. The option in program specialties is designed to prepare<br />

students for careers in special recreation program areas such as music, arts and<br />

crafts, dance, drama, physical education, or athletics. Emphasis is placed on t.he<br />

development <strong>of</strong> a high degree <strong>of</strong> competency in a field <strong>of</strong> specialization currently<br />

represented in recreation programs. In consultation with his adviser, the student<br />

elects from 24 to 35 hours in courses in a field <strong>of</strong> specialization. The major requirements,<br />
