THE DIVISION OF CONTINUING EDUCATION of the State System of
Higher Education administers adult-education and cultural programs and manages
the state-wide extension of the instructional and service resources of the State
System and its institutions. Higher-educational programs are offered for all residents
of Oregon who are capable of profiting from this instruction.
Regularly organized courses are offered in many Oregon communities through
continuation centers with offices on the campuses of the several institutions of the
State System and in Salem.
The Office of State-Wide Services offers correspondence and televised
courses and special programs for business, industry, and government agencies
and educational programs in international affairs and alcohol studies.
The Office of Educational Media operates educational radio and television networks,
including two radio stations and two television stations, with studios
located in Eugene, Corvallis, Salem, and Portland, and provides audio-visual
services for schools, colleges, and community groups. Audio-visual libraries are
located in Corvallis, Ashland, La Grande, and Portland.
The headquarters of the Division of Continuing Education are located at
1633 S.W. Park Ave., Portland, Oregon.
