Admission. The undergraduate major curricula in business administration are<br />
organized on an upper-division basis. Freshman students intending to major<br />
in business administration are enrolled in the College <strong>of</strong> Liberal Arts for a twoyear<br />
prebusiness program, which combines liberal arts courses with introductory<br />
prepr<strong>of</strong>essional courses in the School <strong>of</strong> Business Administration. The lowerdivision<br />
prebusiness courses are planned to provide continuity <strong>of</strong> training throughout<br />
the student's undergraduate years. Educational continuity is further insured<br />
through the assignment <strong>of</strong> members <strong>of</strong> the faculty <strong>of</strong> the School <strong>of</strong> Business Administration<br />
as advisers to prebusiness students.<br />
Students planning to enroll in the School <strong>of</strong> Business Administration for<br />
upper-division major studies leading to a bachelor's degree must make formal<br />
application to the dean <strong>of</strong> the school after the completion <strong>of</strong> two years <strong>of</strong> college<br />
work, but not later than one month before the opening <strong>of</strong> the term in which<br />
admission is sought. Notification <strong>of</strong> acceptance will be made when eligibility has<br />
been established. This requirement will be applicable with the graduating class<br />
<strong>of</strong> 1967 (normally, students seeking admission to an upper-division major in<br />
the fall <strong>of</strong> 1965) .<br />
To be eligible for admission, the student must have satisfied all lower-division<br />
requirements <strong>of</strong> the <strong>University</strong>, must have maintained a C average in English<br />
Composition (Wr 121, 122, 123), and must have completed the following required<br />
prebusiness courses:<br />

but is not required.<br />
Major Requirements. To qualify for a bachelor's degree with a major in<br />
the School <strong>of</strong> Business Administration, the student must complete: (1) a group <strong>of</strong><br />
core courses required <strong>of</strong> all majors, (2) the specialized courses required in one <strong>of</strong><br />
the several major options <strong>of</strong>fered by the school, (3) a minimum <strong>of</strong> 66 term hours<br />
<strong>of</strong> work after formal admission as an upper-division major,:f: and (4) a minimum<br />
<strong>of</strong> 90 term hours in courses outside the School <strong>of</strong> Business Administration. The<br />
student must also earn a cumulative 2.00 grade-point average in business courses<br />
and a 2.00 GPA in business courses taken at the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Oregon</strong>. The<br />
