2. Following interruption of service, power restoration shall be automatically sequenced in a<br />

minimum of two stages - processing equipment followed by amplification equipment.<br />

3. There shall be no loss of operating configuration information <strong>and</strong> operator intervention<br />

shall not be required in order to restore system operation.<br />

P. Digital record/playback system (DRP):<br />

1. The DRP shall be designed so it can be installed in the ACS as an integral part of the<br />

whole system.<br />

2. The DRP shall have at least 8 separate channels <strong>and</strong> each channel shall be able to record<br />

at least 600 seconds of audio. When a microphone station zone group selection button is<br />

momentarily pressed the following functions shall be performed:<br />

a. The microprocessor shall detect the action.<br />

b. The system shall find an open DRP channel.<br />

c. The ‘READY’ LED indicator shall illuminate on the microphone station.<br />

d. The DRP channel shall be assigned, <strong>and</strong> the announcement from the microphone<br />

station shall be stored. The announcement time duration shall be preset to 50<br />

seconds.<br />

e. The green LED associated with that button shall start to flash 8 seconds before the<br />

preset announcement limit.<br />

f. The announcement shall be retained for playback when the microphone or<br />

announce button is released. The microphone or announce button must be released<br />

prior to the preset announcement limit or prior to any 5 second silent period.<br />

3. The announcement will play back automatically, to the selected zones, in its assigned<br />

queue position.<br />

4. An announcement shall be canceled when a microphone or announce button is pressed<br />

<strong>and</strong> held for a 5 second silent period. Cancellation shall be indicated by the green light<br />

going off.<br />

5. The red ‘BUSY’ LED’s beside the zone group select buttons on the microphone station<br />

shall light when all DRPS channels are busy.<br />

6. The microphone station shall be able to select a desired zone group when all DRPS<br />

channels are busy. The ‘BUSY’ LED will flash acknowledging acceptance of the station<br />

into the queue (first-in, first-out). When the station reaches the top of the queue, the<br />

station beeper will sound <strong>and</strong> the green ‘READY’ LED will turn on <strong>and</strong> the microphone<br />

station can proceed with its announcement recording.<br />
