• Make certain that the signatures for the LAWA Chief <strong>Airports</strong> Engineer are<br />

indicated in the LAWA title block.<br />

1.22 Plan Check Corrections Submittal - All building department corrections shall be<br />

included. This submittal to LAWA shall include all required drawing revisions required by<br />

governing authorities as a condition of plan check approval. In addition, this submittal<br />

shall also include a Cost Loaded <strong>Construction</strong> Schedule (when applicable or required).<br />

All revisions depicted in this submittal shall be identified by a cloud with a corresponding<br />

date of the revision. LAWA’s review of these documents may require up to 30 days.<br />

1.23 Plans Issued for <strong>Construction</strong> Submittal - This submittal shall have all clouds<br />

<strong>and</strong> revision dates removed from the drawings. The final approved specifications,<br />

material boards <strong>and</strong> any other documents that are required for the construction including<br />

every sheet of the construction documents shall be noted Issued for <strong>Construction</strong> with<br />

the corresponding date of issue. Please contact your designated Airport Contact to<br />

confirm the official date of this issue. The <strong>Design</strong>er shall also include the following<br />

drawing information in this submittal:<br />

1. <strong>Construction</strong> refuse removal <strong>and</strong> collection strategy with trash bin locations<br />

approved by LAWA.<br />

2. Phasing <strong>and</strong> construction barricade drawings.<br />

3. Inter-disciplinary composite coordination drawings.<br />

4. Project <strong>Construction</strong> Logistics Plan showing site access, contractor staging,<br />

employee parking, construction deliveries (locations <strong>and</strong> time of day), etc.<br />

5. <strong>Construction</strong> Barricade Plans <strong>and</strong> Signage.<br />

Upon determining that all comments from all stakeholders have been incorporated into<br />

the drawings, LAWA will authorize the project for bid. A set of the approved <strong>and</strong><br />

stamped construction drawings with corresponding specifications <strong>and</strong> material boards<br />

shall remain on the jobsite at all times during the entire duration of the project. Obtaining<br />

the Building Permit is the responsibility of the Contractor. A set of Building Permit Plans<br />

shall be kept at job site at all times as well as a copy of the permit.<br />

The documents at this point should be ready to be signed pending approval by the<br />

Airport Contact. Once these documents are approved <strong>and</strong> signed, they can be provided<br />

to contractors for bidding purposes. (See Project Solicitation)<br />

1.24 Specification Format – (To Be Revised) For LAWA issued projects, all non-AIP<br />

projects, specifications shall be in accordance with the <strong>Construction</strong> Specification<br />

Institute (CSI). For all airfield construction projects, contract documents shall be<br />

prepared in accordance with AC 15015370-10. These documents shall be prepared with<br />

the guidance <strong>and</strong> direction from the Airport Contact.<br />

1.25 Coordination of <strong>Design</strong> - Every effort shall be made to coordinate the design<br />

between disciplines. This section applies to LAWA issued <strong>and</strong> Tenants projects.<br />
