3.5 DOMESTIC WATER HEAT EXCHANGER INSULATION SCHEDULE<br />

A. Round, exposed breeching <strong>and</strong> connector insulation shall be the following:<br />

1. Calcium Silicate: 4 inches thick.<br />

2. High-Temperature Mineral-Fiber Blanket: 3 inches thick <strong>and</strong> 3-lb/cu. ft. nominal<br />

density.<br />

3. High-Temperature Mineral-Fiber Board: 3 inches thick <strong>and</strong> 6-lb/cu. ft. nominal density.<br />

B. Round, concealed breeching <strong>and</strong> connector insulation shall be the following:<br />

1. Calcium Silicate: 4 inches thick.<br />

2. High-Temperature Mineral-Fiber Blanket: 3 inches thick <strong>and</strong> 3-lb/cu. ft. nominal<br />

density.<br />

3. High-Temperature Mineral-Fiber Board: 3 inches thick <strong>and</strong> 6-lb/cu. ft. nominal density.<br />

A. Grease Waste Piping, All Sizes, Where Heat Tracing Is Installed: Cellular glass, 2 inches<br />

thick.<br />

3.7 UNDERGROUND, FIELD-INSTALLED INSULATION JACKET<br />

A. For underground direct-buried piping applications, install underground direct-buried jacket<br />

over insulation material.<br />
