grant a waiver to accomplish partial commissioning of any of the equipment.<br />

Completion of waived outst<strong>and</strong>ing work items shall then be assigned to the postcommissioning<br />

operations <strong>and</strong> maintenance.<br />

b. Preliminary testing of ACAMS new control panels <strong>and</strong> alarm monitor devices,<br />

shall be conducted <strong>and</strong> witnessed by the Owner on a separate Picture Perfect<br />

server/workstation platform prior to activation <strong>and</strong> commissioning of the ACAMS<br />

devices on the existing LAWA production Picture Perfect server. A Picture<br />

Perfect server shall be provided by LAWA for use as a test platform: it shall<br />

remain the property of LAWA. The Contractor shall provide a compatible<br />

workstation. LAWA shall provide for network connectivity for the workstation.<br />

LAWA shall provide the Contractor with anti-virus protection software, <strong>and</strong> the<br />

Contractor shall be required to install <strong>and</strong> maintain operational the anti-virus<br />

software on the Contractor provided workstation.<br />

4. Commissioning Procedure<br />

ACAMS commissioning shall be conducted in accordance with LAWA ACAMS<br />

Commissioning Procedures <strong>and</strong> Flow Chart. Refer to Appendices A <strong>and</strong> B for the<br />

m<strong>and</strong>atory commissioning procedures for LAWA ACAMS<br />

a. Each commissioning procedure shall be witnessed by Owner. The commissioning<br />

procedure shall be conducted by Contractor <strong>and</strong> shall consist of a detailed<br />

inspection, <strong>and</strong> physical accounting of each equipment item as required.<br />

b. An operational demonstration shall be conducted in which the equipment shall<br />

function in the normal operational mode, <strong>and</strong> shall operate completely error-free in<br />

terms of hardware <strong>and</strong> software performance. Occurrence of any equipment<br />

failure shall terminate the demonstration. The demonstration shall restart <strong>and</strong> run<br />

for a period of time designated by Owner after the failure has been corrected.<br />

3.8 COMPUTERIZED MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM<br />

A. LAWA is implementing a CMMS. Information regarding all equipment including model,<br />

nomenclature, serial number, function, location, recommended preventative maintenance<br />

schedule <strong>and</strong> other pertinent data will be stored in the CMMS database. Contractor shall<br />

include in their Bid the cost for collecting <strong>and</strong> inputting this data for all systems <strong>and</strong> equipment<br />

provided by this Contract into this database.<br />

3.9 FINAL INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE<br />

A. Completion of the installation, in-progress <strong>and</strong> final inspections, receipt of the test <strong>and</strong> as-built<br />

documentation including data input of all installed cables in the LAWA cable management<br />

system <strong>and</strong> successful performance of the cabling system for a two-week period will constitute<br />

acceptance of the system. Upon successful completion of the installation <strong>and</strong> subsequent<br />

ACCESS CONTROL AND ALARM MONITORING SYSTEM (ACAMS)<br />
