C. Transformers: Where required by the function of the system, provide appropriate impedance<br />

ratio <strong>and</strong> power h<strong>and</strong>ling capacity for audio transformers required in the system.<br />

D. Loudspeaker hardware: Contractor is solely responsible for ensuring that all grilles,<br />

transformers, enclosures, baffles, <strong>and</strong> ancillary hardware to be supplied are compatible with the<br />

loudspeakers specified.<br />

E. Pads: Contractor shall provide balanced pads, comprised of 0.5 watt, 5 percent composition<br />

resistors soldered to fixed connection points at each end, as required to achieve proper<br />

impedance matching <strong>and</strong> levels.<br />

F. Remote control panels <strong>and</strong> receptacle plates: Contractor shall fabricate with 1/8-inch thick<br />

6061-T6 aluminum with a brushed, anodized finish (color to match surrounding surfaces).<br />

G. System functional diagrams: Contractor shall provide 1/2-size as-built functional diagram,<br />

framed with acrylic cover <strong>and</strong> mounted adjacent to equipment rack, for each control or audio<br />

system (including patch field designations). Mounting inside interface tie point enclosures will<br />

be acceptable.<br />

2.4 LABELS<br />

A. Shall meet the legibility, defacement, exposure <strong>and</strong> adhesion requirements of UL 969.<br />

B. Shall be pre-printed or laser printed type.<br />

C. Where used for cable marking, a label with a vinyl substrate <strong>and</strong> white printing area <strong>and</strong> a clear<br />

“tail” that self laminates the printed area when wrapped around the cable shall be provided. The<br />

label color shall be different than that of the cable to which it is attached.<br />

D. Where insert type labels are used, provide clear plastic cover over label.<br />

4. Other equal<br />

F. Contractor shall provide permanently mounted 1/32-inch thick by 1/4-inch high black lamicoid<br />

or anodized, brushed aluminum labels with 1/8-inch engraved lettering for each piece of<br />

equipment <strong>and</strong> every user-adjustable control <strong>and</strong> input on the audiovisual equipment.<br />

2.5 FIRESTOPPING MATERIALS<br />

A. Fire stopping for openings through fire-rated <strong>and</strong> smoke-rated walls <strong>and</strong> floor assemblies shall<br />

be listed or classified by an approved independent testing laboratory for "Through-Penetration<br />
