8.3.3. Each set of documents will be evaluated on a scale to be developed as part
of the Project Management Plan.
9. PUBLIC CONSTRUCTION BID PACKAGES
9.1. City and DB acknowledge that Construction Documents prepared for a design-build
project ordinarily contain less detail than drawings prepared for traditional design-bidbuild
projects. Therefore, if City directs DB to prepare Construction Documents that
are 100% complete, but does not direct DB to proceed with construction of the
Project, then DB’s 100% complete Construction Documents shall be prepared to that
level of completeness ordinarily found in traditional design-bid-build projects of
similar scope and magnitude for the purposes of publicly bidding.
10. CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION
The Construction Administration activities provide support to the Construction Process for
the duration of the Construction period and beyond, until Program closeout.
10.1. Tasks
10.1.1. Submittals
10.1.1.1 Ensure that all subcontracted construction and material supply is
preceded by appropriate submittals for:
10.1.1.1.1 Product data
10.1.1.1.2 Systems design, including shop drawings, calculations,
performance verification
10.1.1.1.3 Installation requirements
10.1.1.1.4 Maintenance data
10.1.1.1.5 Operations data, including training materials
10.1.1.1.6 Warranties
10.1.1.1.7 Testing and inspection data
10.1.1.2 Maintain a log of all submittals required in the Contract Specifications
and their status
10.1.1.3 Review and action all submittals as many times as required
10.1.1.4 Mock-ups
10.1.1.4.1 Maintain a log of all mock-ups required in the Specifications and
their status
10.1.1.4.2 Review and action all mock-ups at the Jobsite as many times as
required
10.1.1.5 Provide and maintain Control Samples at the Jobsite
10.1.2. Periodic observations
10.1.2.1 Provide on-site observations for all disciplines as necessary to ensure
aesthetic quality and design integrity.
10.1.2.2 Observe at critical system installation times and system testing.
