Guide Specification<br />

NOTE: This signage shop drawing submittal shall include all required power <strong>and</strong> data<br />

requirements <strong>and</strong> circuiting configurations <strong>and</strong> have this information coordinated with the<br />

corresponding electrical drawings. All illuminated signs within a tenant's lease area shall be<br />

circuited to the Tenant's electrical panel board.<br />

1.5 PERMITS BY SIGNAGE CONTRACTOR<br />

A. Signage Contractor shall make all submittals for each permit to LAWA. Signage Contractor<br />

shall be responsible for paying all fees, making adjustments as required, or any task necessary<br />

for obtaining local building <strong>and</strong> installation Sign permits for the proper execution of the Work.<br />

1.6 QUALITY ASSURANCE<br />

A. Mock-ups <strong>and</strong> Prototypes:<br />

1. Provide a mock-up (partial for large Signs; complete for smaller Signs) of each sign type<br />

requested at the fabrication facility for review.<br />

2. Utilize the same materials <strong>and</strong> installation methods in the mock-up as intended for the<br />

final Work. Schedule the installation so that the mock-up may be examined, <strong>and</strong> any<br />

necessary adjustments made, prior to commencing fabrication of the final Work. Replace<br />

unsatisfactory items as directed.<br />

3. When accepted, mock-up shall serve as the st<strong>and</strong>ard for materials, workmanship, <strong>and</strong><br />

appearance for the Work throughout the project.<br />

B. Work-In-Progress Approvals:<br />

1. Provide work-in-progress sign elements reviews. Scheduled or unscheduled viewings at<br />

the Fabrication Facility may be initiated by LAWA as deemed necessary to ensure<br />

continued quality control <strong>and</strong> make any adjustments required during fabrication.<br />

Unsatisfactory items are to be corrected by the Signage Contractor as directed by LAWA.<br />

C. Regulatory Requirements:<br />

1. Comply with applicable requirements of the Applicable Laws <strong>and</strong> Authorities. Obtain<br />

necessary approvals <strong>and</strong> permits from all such Authorities as required.<br />

D. Markings <strong>and</strong> Labels:<br />

1. Locate markings, labels, manufacturer names <strong>and</strong> other identifications so as to be<br />

concealed from public view <strong>and</strong> as acceptable by LAWA.<br />

2. No trade name or other identification shall appear on any item where it will be seen by<br />

the public except as specifically approved by LAWA in advance.<br />

E. Final Location of Signs:<br />
