2.7 DAMPERS<br />

Guide Specification<br />

A. Mixing Boxes: Section with factory mounted outside <strong>and</strong> return air dampers of galvanized<br />

steel with vinyl bulb edging <strong>and</strong> edge seals in galvanized frame, with galvanized steel axles in<br />

self-lubricating nylon bearings, in opposed blade arrangement<br />

B. Outside Air Damper Leakage: Maximum 3.0 cfm per square foot at 1.0 inches wg pressure<br />

differential.<br />

C. Damper Leakage: Maximum 2 percent at 4 inch wg differential pressure when sized for 2000<br />

fpm face velocity.<br />

D. Damper Actuators: Furnish factory installed electric damper actuators for outside air, return<br />

air, <strong>and</strong> exhaust air dampers.<br />

2.8 OUTSIDE AIR MEASURING AND MODULATION DEVICE<br />

A. Factory mounted in outside air <strong>and</strong> return air openings.<br />

B. Damper <strong>and</strong> airflow measurement assembly sized to accommodate economizer outside<br />

airflow.<br />

C. <strong>Construction</strong>:<br />

1. Frame: Extruded aluminum.<br />

2. Blades:<br />

a. Modulating Air Control:<br />

1) Style: Airfoil-shaped, single-piece.<br />

2) Action: Parallel.<br />

3) Orientation: Horizontal.<br />

4) Material: Heavy gage 6063-T5 extruded aluminum.<br />

5) Width: Maximum 5 inches.<br />

b. Stationary Sensing:<br />

1) Style: Airfoil-shaped, single-piece.<br />
