PART 3 - EXECUTION<br />

3.1 EXAMINATION<br />

A. Verify conditioned power supply is available to control units <strong>and</strong> to operator workstation.<br />

B. Verify field end devices <strong>and</strong> wiring are installed prior to installation proceeding.<br />

3.2 INSTALLATION<br />

A. Install control units <strong>and</strong> other hardware in position on permanent walls where not subject to<br />

excessive vibration.<br />

B. Install software in control units <strong>and</strong> in operator workstation. Implement features of programs<br />

to specified requirements <strong>and</strong> appropriate to sequence of operation.<br />

C. Install with 120 volts alternating current, 15 amp dedicated emergency power circuit to each<br />

programmable control unit.<br />

3.3 MANUFACTURER'S FIELD SERVICES<br />

A. Start <strong>and</strong> commission systems. Allow adequate time for start-up <strong>and</strong> commissioning prior to<br />

placing control systems in permanent operation.<br />

B. Furnish service technician employed by system installer to instruct LAWA's representative in<br />

operation of systems plant <strong>and</strong> equipment for 3 day period.<br />

3.4 DEMONSTRATION AND TRAINING<br />

A. Furnish basic operator training for 15 persons on data display, alarm <strong>and</strong> status descriptors,<br />

requesting data, execution comm<strong>and</strong>s <strong>and</strong> log requests. Include a minimum of 40 hours<br />

instructor time. Furnish training on site.<br />

B. Demonstrate complete <strong>and</strong> operating system to LAWA.<br />
