A novel heterotritopic -cyclo<strong>de</strong>xtrin tripod has been synthesized by the<br />

Staudinger-Aza-Wittig (SAW) reaction.<br />

Comp<strong>le</strong>xation properties and conformational events upon coordination<br />

with “hard” to“bor<strong>de</strong>rline” transition metals have been analyzed.<br />

Spontaneous formation of se<strong>le</strong>ctive -helicity has been observed via<br />

the coordination with Cu II and Ni II cations.
