KYXAIPIO3 <strong>and</strong> XAIPIO all silver coinage seems<br />

to disappear. Under FIOAIANGEY^ who follows, we<br />

find a new silver coinage consisting <strong>of</strong> Attic di-<br />

drachms, new denominations <strong>of</strong> a new st<strong>and</strong>ard,<br />

<strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong>se continue till <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> century.<br />

(drachm), KYAIOS 110<br />

(tetradrachm<br />

<strong>and</strong> drachm), 0EY4>EIAEYZ m (tetradrachm <strong>and</strong><br />

HOAIANeEYS, EIAniSIO5, <strong>and</strong> 0EYEIAEYS 113<br />

(tetradrachm <strong>and</strong> drachm), <strong>and</strong><br />

(Attic didrachms).<br />

<strong>The</strong>se coins do not <strong>of</strong>fer us much <strong>of</strong> interest;<br />

I have not been able to find any die-couplings to<br />

throw light upon <strong>the</strong> chronological sequence, but<br />

<strong>the</strong> arguments from types <strong>and</strong> from weight st<strong>and</strong>ard<br />

go to confirm <strong>the</strong> order already suggested by <strong>the</strong> gold<br />

issues. <strong>The</strong> types are, as before, <strong>the</strong> horned head <strong>and</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> silphium, but under 0EYEIAEY5 <strong>and</strong> IA5ONOS<br />

we find for <strong>the</strong> first time on <strong>the</strong> tetradrachms <strong>the</strong><br />

beardless head which we have already noticed on<br />

drachms. Now KYAIOS <strong>and</strong> APISTIO5, both <strong>of</strong> whom<br />

we have placed earlier than 0EY4>EIAEY, have <strong>the</strong><br />

bearded head only; 0EY
