No magistrate's name or symbol has yet been noted<br />

on coins <strong>of</strong> this issue. A piece <strong>of</strong> similar types (M. i. 247)<br />

has on <strong>the</strong> reverse KY <strong>and</strong> a crab : this would connect<br />

it chronologically with <strong>the</strong> gold <strong>and</strong> silver issues <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

Ptolemaic period bearing <strong>the</strong> same symbol.<br />

<strong>The</strong>re is a fourth letter, possibly a f, to be read on<br />

<strong>the</strong> Paris specimen. On ano<strong>the</strong>r coin (M. i. 340) <strong>the</strong><br />

jerboa is turned to <strong>the</strong> 1., <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> magistrate is<br />

3fl3l(O). $fl occurs on silver didrachms (M.<br />

<strong>and</strong> 161), <strong>and</strong> we meet <strong>the</strong> same pair in <strong>the</strong> following<br />

little group (M. i. 88-90 <strong>and</strong> 237) :<br />
