The Kenneth Clarke prize is<br />

awarded to the best student in<br />

the final year of the Medical<br />

Biophysics and<br />

Instrumentation course based<br />

on the highest weighted<br />

average marks in final year.<br />

The award is sponsored by the<br />

School in recognition of Mr<br />

Kenneth Clarke, a former<br />

long service member of the<br />

Biophysics Advisory<br />

Committee.<br />

The amount of $200 and a<br />

plaque are awarded to the best<br />

student in the final year of<br />

Psychology/Psychophysiology<br />

Neurosciences (SCAN), a<br />

research centre within the<br />

school.<br />

This prize, valued in excess of<br />

f 5000, including a plaque is<br />

awarded to the best student in<br />

the final year of Computing<br />

and Instrumentation course<br />

based on the highest weighted<br />

average marks in final year.<br />

The award is sponsored by<br />

likely to be of interest to engineering students is given<br />

below.<br />

Entrance Scholarships<br />

Details of entrance scholarships available may be obtained<br />

from the Administrative Officer, telephone 9214 8456.<br />

Industry Based Learning scholarships<br />

The Division of Science, Engineering and Design, in<br />

conjunction with industry, offers industry based learning<br />

scholarships to the value of $8000 per annum to full-time<br />

engineering students in second and later years of their<br />

engineering degree course. Interested students should apply<br />

to the Divisional office by November for the forthcoming<br />

year.<br />

W.P. Brown Medal<br />

Esso Prize<br />

The award is a medal and a<br />

premium of $150. This is<br />

awarded by the Institution of<br />

Engineers, Australia, to the<br />

best all-round student in the<br />

final year of an engineering<br />

course.<br />

A prize of $500 awarded<br />

annually to the outstanding<br />

final-year mechanical<br />

engineering student.<br />

F.W. Green Memorial Books to the value of $50 are<br />

Prize<br />

awarded to the most<br />

outstanding final-year<br />

engineering student graduating<br />

each year.
