Spot (Wis), and Use Magic Device (Cha). See Chapter 4:Skills in the Player’s Handbook for skill descriptions.Skill Points at Each Level: 4 + Int modifier.Class FeaturesAll the following are features of the divine agentprestige class.Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Divine agentsare proficient with all simple weapons, and withall types of armor. Furthermore, a divineagent gains proficiency with her deity’sfavored weapon, if she does not alreadyhave it.Granted Domain: A divine agentgains access to one domain chosen fromamong those her deity offers, and with itthe granted power of that domain. Divineagents who were once clerics essentiallygain a third domain this way and canprepare their domain spells at eachlevel from the new domain’s listif they wish.No matter what their priorclass was, divine agents gainthe granted power of thedomain they choose. In cases where thegranted abilityrelies on clericlevels or allows turningor rebuking, usethe sum of a character’scleric and divineagent levels to determinethe ability’seffect.Contact (Su): Adivine agent of 2ndlevel or highermay be contactedmentally by herdeity or its agents, usually to impart particular knowledgeand orders to the divine agent. This contact only functionsone way; the divine agent cannot initiate the contact, question the orders, or ask for clarifications. The natureof the contact depends on the deity: Dreams, ghostlyvisions, and illuminations from above are all possibilities.Contact from the deity rarely interrupts the divine agent’snormal actions.Spells per Day: A divine agent continues training inmagic as well as gaining power from her deity. At 2nd,4th, 6th, 8th, and 10th level, the divine agent gainsnew spells per day as if she had also gained a levelin whatever spellcastingclass she belonged tobefore she added theprestige class. She doesnot, however, gain anyother benefit a character ofthat class would have gained. This essentially means that sheadds the level of divine agent to thelevel of whatever other spellcastingclass the character has, then determinesspells per day accordingly. If a character had more than one spellcastingclass before she became a divineagent, she must decide to which class sheadds each level of divine agent for the purposesof determining spells per day whenshe adds the new level.Menacing Aura (Ex): At 3rd level, adivine agent gains the ability to generate anintangible, invisible aura of menace thatweakens hostile creatures within a 20-footradius. Anyone about to attack the divineagent must attempt a Will save (DC = thedivine agent’s character level). Those whofail the saving throw suffer a –2 moralepenalty on attacks, checks, and saves for one full day oruntil they successfullydamage the divineagent generatingthe aura. A creaturethat madeits initial save ordamaged the divine agent is immune to that divine agent’saura for one day.Godly Gift: At 3rd, 6th, and 9th levels, the deitybestows on the divine agent a gift.
