MR. p. I think it should be the responsibility of the people to findmeans.MR. O. Both. But that I have already said. We have talked about it fora long time, we have talked about the Society and I saw nothingpractical that came out of this, no practical conclusions. So I saw onepractical thing—to publish these books. If we could do somethingbesides that, so much the better.MRS. A . We must all be on the wrong tack—we are always turnedback in our suggestions, because we are not there. I feel we are allwilling to do anything if we only knew what it was. I am waiting forsomething I can get hold of.MR. O. I do not give definite tasks in a concrete form—the groups aretoo big. But I want you to understand the necessity of organizationand the needs of organization. The technical part of the Society isalmost ready. But it is no use beginning to talk about the Societybefore we have a house where it can meet. So at present it is thequestion of a house and that depends on how much money we have. That is why I think that if I can publish two or three books, that willgive us the possibility to start. I only say what I can do.MR. K. I think we must provide more material at meetings from ourobservations to see a meeting through without Mr. O. being there.MR. O. Yes, but it cannot be done only at meetings. It is necessary towork during the week. And how and what, that is impossible to say ingeneral. In groups, when there are groups, it would be possible to say,but here it would take too much time. That is why groups are necessary.MRS. S. I don't see how these things, such as keeping rules, are goingto give Mr. O. more time.MR. O. No, keeping rules will not give me more time by itself. Thatwas said in answer to another question: how to work. It is good tohave rules, even small rules are very useful in the work—if you do notremember it you miss the opportunity to work. There are many rulesyou can learn from other people, people who have heard them, peopleit was explained to. Sometimes quite a small rule produces an enormousquantity of friction and difficulty. Rules are not made for comfort, they are specially made to make you uncomfortable. There is always agreat temptation to forget them, to say they are not for me but forother people, etc.
