MR. F . Is the life of man controlled by life of brain cells?MR. O. No, not his life. His activity is controlled by them to a certainextent, unfortunately comparatively rarely, but it should be.MR. F. Mr. O. indicates that the quantum and wave motion theories oflight can be reconciled by the use of three time dimensions. Can thethree phenomena—gravitation, ether and direct magnetic force—beexplained in terms of multi-dimensional time?MR. O. Gravitation and ether cannot, for they are only words withnothing behind them.MR. F. When I take a meal I often notice an increase of energy duringthe meal, i.e. long before digestion is completed. Is this connectedwith shock to instinctive centre?MR. O. This is just observation. Why the question? I have nothing tosay about it. It is just good observation.MR. F. Does recuperative power of sleep essentially refer to renewal ofbig cells? And what is sleep for small cells?MR. O. Again, that is the same thing—you must just observe, that isall. No theory will help.MR. P . It appears that each cosmos has certain properties, e.g. powerto receive impressions, to breathe, to sleep and awake, and a limitedperiod of life. These properties, however, do not seem to be peculiarto cosmoses. Will Mr. O. say what is the distinctive property orproperties by which a cosmos is denned?MR. O. I cannot enumerate these properties, but you can take it that allthat refers to a human being belongs to cosmoses. You can look oncosmoses as more or less analogous to man.MR. P . Is it possible to find in man himself some part or functionwhich bears to the whole man a relation analogous to the situationbetween man himself and some higher cosmos, e.g. organic life or sun?MR. O. I do not understand that question.MR. P . Has any part of man 1, 2 and 3 got any kind of immortalityother than recurrent life on earth?MR. O. We will speak about that later.MR. P . Does intelligence always imply power of cognition?MR. O. It would need a very long talk to go into that. In us, intelligenceand cognition are connected, and that is quite sufficient. It is possiblethat there are different forms of intelligence, different powers ofcognition, but, as I say, that is a very long talk.
