How does one accept that in our world there is one triad that needsfull attention? How does one distinguish it?MR. O. There is such a big difference between our world and World 6!Even organic life does not belong to this scale—it is a different octave. Suppose I have a strong sense of right andwrong and the contents are wrong? Then the first aim becomes to findthe contents, to find what is right and what is wrong. As we are now,we are at the very first step of approaching the understanding of whatis right and wrong, and you already want the answer.MISS P . Can that sense of obligation that one has be mechanical?MR. O. Certainly it can. Everything can be mechanical.MRS. H. Is psycho-transformism the work of a triad?MR. O. Yes, it must be the work of a particular triad. But it is acomplicated process; it works by triad 2-1-3 and 2-3-1. You can seethat intervals in the ascending octave work by 2-3-1 and notes by 2-1-3.Triad 2-3-1 belongs to the ascending octave. Triad 2-3-1 works in theintervals, filling the places that cannot be passed.MR. F. Can you approach the study of types through triads?MR. O. No, in our state of consciousness and with the centres we usewe can only know some principles. We can know that types exist, andnothing more. This is one of the things that belongs to the future. Theonly way of studying types for us is by direct observation. In this way,little by little, you can classify people you know personally. You canhave glimpses of the idea. If your classification is right, it can serve asa starting point to the study of types, but no more than that.MR. P . If there are no real differences between nationalities. . . .
MR. O. I have never noticed. I think people of the same nationality,class and education can be more different than people, similar inside,but belonging to different race, class and part of the world.MR. P. In that case how is love of one's country to be explained?MR. Q . In some moments of history it is simply a realization of mutualinterest, which may be more or less intelligent. It is difficult to explainhow it appears and disappears. Sometimes it has a protective qualitythat leads to preservation; sometimes an aggressive quality that leadsto destruction. Or sometimes the disappearance of this quality leads todestruction.***You will hear when the next meeting is to be. It is a question ofroom. The necessity to have a new house has become very great now.We have one house in view and, if we decide to take it, it will bepossible for all people to meet at once.
