The two-year program presumes basic knowledge of theoretical mechanics, quantum
mechanics, solid state physics, atomic and molecular spectroscopy, programming in
LabView, electronics and spectroscopy of defects.
In addition to obligatory courses, students can choose among several specialized and
monographic lectures such as, to name a few, condensed matter physics and
spectroscopy method in solid state physics.
Students take part in research project as a base to prepare their M.Sc. theses.
Research areas include, e.g. physics of carbon, thin film physics.
Graduates will be able to work in business or research or as physics teachers in
schools.
General education subjects: English in physics, philosophy.
Courses are conducted as lectures, tutorial or practical exercises in laboratories.
