The Kozminski University is authorised to award PhD degrees in the field of
Management Studies since 1998. In 2003 as the only non-public university we have
been given faculties to also award senior doctor degrees (habilitacja). The main
purpose of PhD studies is to prepare students to perform their scientific research
which will result in their own PhD theses. During the program 4 separate modules are
carried out including over 400 hours of classes in total. The subjects of studies include
strategic management, enterprise management, human resource management,
managerial accounting, managing finances, psycho-sociological problems of
management, managing people within an organization, managing in public
administration, ethics in business, the use of ethics in management and marketing.
27 300 PLN (4 550 PLN per semester); an instalment plan is available; admission fee
– 650 PLN
September 2011
University graduates holding a Master degree may apply for the PhD programme.
Admission is based on the outcome of a personal interview, A certificate of proficiency
in English for foreigners (unless the previous degree was taught in English).
A competence test and a 5 page description of scientific areas of interest.
