EMARO is an Erasmus Mundus Master Program <strong>in</strong> Advanced Robotics for graduate<br />

students hold<strong>in</strong>g B.Sc., B.Eng. or equivalent degrees <strong>in</strong> the fields related to robotics<br />

(e.g. electrical eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g, electronics, mechanical eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g, computer science and<br />

eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g). The teach<strong>in</strong>g program covers the issues of advanced and <strong>in</strong>telligent<br />

robotics, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g mathematical model<strong>in</strong>g, control eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g, computer eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g<br />

and mechanical design <strong>in</strong> order to prepare students to deal with novel robotics systems.<br />

The programme is carried out by the consortium composed of three <strong>in</strong>stitutions:<br />

• Ecolé Centrale de Nantes (France)<br />

• Universite di Genova (Italy)<br />

• Warsaw University of Technology (<strong>Poland</strong>).<br />

EMARO students who are EU citizens are eligible for 6-month grants for the research<br />

stay <strong>in</strong> one of 3 selected universities: Asian Institute of Technology (Thailand), Keio<br />

University (Japan), Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Ch<strong>in</strong>a).<br />

EU students: 2000 EUR/year<br />

Non-EU students: 6000 EUR/ year<br />

• For non-EU candidates apply<strong>in</strong>g for EU scholarships – 31st January<br />

• For non-EU candidates not apply<strong>in</strong>g for EU scholarships – 15th May<br />

• For EU candidates (not eligible for EU scholarships) – 30th June<br />

Applicants must hold a bachelor degree with 180 ECTS, after at least 3-year studies (at<br />

the level of Bachelor of Science) <strong>in</strong> the field related to robotics such as: Mechatronics,<br />

Automatic Control, Electrical Eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g, Mechanical Eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g, System<br />

Eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g, Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. Applicants have to be<br />

fluent <strong>in</strong> spoken and written English. Applicants whose native language is not English<br />

are required to pass a recognized <strong>in</strong>ternational English test such as TOEFL, Cambridge<br />

Advanced English Test, IELTS or other equivalent test.<br />

EU students can apply for Erasmus Mundus category B scholarships.<br />

Selected student receive a grant of 10000 EUR per year.<br />

Non-EU students can apply for Erasmus Mundus category A scholarships.<br />

Selected students receive a grant of 24000 EUR per year.<br />
