EMARO is an Erasmus Mundus Master Program in Advanced Robotics for graduate
students holding B.Sc., B.Eng. or equivalent degrees in the fields related to robotics
(e.g. electrical engineering, electronics, mechanical engineering, computer science and
engineering). The teaching program covers the issues of advanced and intelligent
robotics, including mathematical modeling, control engineering, computer engineering
and mechanical design in order to prepare students to deal with novel robotics systems.
The programme is carried out by the consortium composed of three institutions:
• Ecolé Centrale de Nantes (France)
• Universite di Genova (Italy)
• Warsaw University of Technology (Poland).

EMARO students who are EU citizens are eligible for 6-month grants for the research
stay in one of 3 selected universities: Asian Institute of Technology (Thailand), Keio
University (Japan), Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China).
EU students: 2000 EUR/year
Non-EU students: 6000 EUR/ year
• For non-EU candidates applying for EU scholarships – 31st January
• For non-EU candidates not applying for EU scholarships – 15th May
• For EU candidates (not eligible for EU scholarships) – 30th June
Applicants must hold a bachelor degree with 180 ECTS, after at least 3-year studies (at
the level of Bachelor of Science) in the field related to robotics such as: Mechatronics,
Automatic Control, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, System
Engineering, Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. Applicants have to be
fluent in spoken and written English. Applicants whose native language is not English
are required to pass a recognized international English test such as TOEFL, Cambridge
Advanced English Test, IELTS or other equivalent test.
EU students can apply for Erasmus Mundus category B scholarships.
Selected student receive a grant of 10000 EUR per year.
Non-EU students can apply for Erasmus Mundus category A scholarships.
Selected students receive a grant of 24000 EUR per year.
