<strong>Programme</strong> of studies on Combustion Eng<strong>in</strong>es Speciality enables development of the<br />

eng<strong>in</strong>eerís skill <strong>in</strong> the field of mechanical eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g based on the knowledge<br />

obta<strong>in</strong>ed formerly and application of that knowledge to the construction, technology,<br />

test<strong>in</strong>g and use of combustion eng<strong>in</strong>es.<br />

Graduates of this Speciality have ability of apply of the basic knowledge to solve the<br />

technical problems concerned combustion eng<strong>in</strong>es of different types and size as well<br />

as turb<strong>in</strong>e and jet turb<strong>in</strong>e eng<strong>in</strong>es. They obta<strong>in</strong> also the basic knowledge <strong>in</strong> the<br />

doma<strong>in</strong> of combustion eng<strong>in</strong>es test<strong>in</strong>g with use of up-to-date special measurement<br />

equipment and advanced computer techniques. Our graduates are familiar with<br />

contemporary trends of eng<strong>in</strong>e development with particular respect to environment<br />

protection requirements. They possess knowledge <strong>in</strong> the range of technology of new<br />

fuels and operation materials. Obta<strong>in</strong>ed knowledge and preparation enables gett<strong>in</strong>g<br />

a job <strong>in</strong> almost all enterprises connected with mach<strong>in</strong>es build<strong>in</strong>g and exploitation<br />

and particularly <strong>in</strong> the eng<strong>in</strong>e <strong>in</strong>dustry – R&D <strong>in</strong>stitutes, firms or companies us<strong>in</strong>g<br />

combustion eng<strong>in</strong>es, motor transport companies, diagnostic and service stations and<br />

many others.<br />
